Day 38 | Missionaries

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:13-15

God could reach and save people in any way he sees fit—and he chooses to do it through the faithful witness of his followers. The kingdom of God expands as the good news of the gospel is shared with new people in new places by those who are bold and courageous enough to take it there.

Did you know that we, as a church, play a part in sending people to the nations? Every time that you make an undesignated financial gift to Heartland City, a small portion of that goes to the International Mission Board, which sends missionaries all over the world to share the good news of Jesus.

Today we pray for these missionaries—we may not know their names or stories, but the Lord certainly does. Pray that he would guide, protect, and strengthen them as they share the good news!
