Day 36 | Unreached People Groups

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelation 7:9–10

The passage above is a snapshot of eternity—it’s a throne room where a multitude from every people group throughout history is worshiping around the throne of God. Clearly, God has a heart for the nations.

With that in mind, recent statistics estimate that there are approximately 7,000 unreached people groups in the world—entire communities and cultures that have never even heard the name of Jesus.

So how do we get from 7,000 people groups who have never heard of Jesus to Revelation 7:9-10, where representatives from every one of those groups will be worshiping Jesus for all eternity?

We pray for the Lord to raise up and send out missionaries and to move in power and to save people from every nation, every tribe, every people, and every language—and the fact that Scripture gives us this picture of eternity should make us pray with confidence, knowing that the Lord will answer our prayers!

Prayer prompt: Pray for unreached peoples with little or no gospel access.
