Day 33 | The Vulnerable

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27

There are many undeniable truths that are weaved throughout the story of Scripture, and one of them is this: God has a heart for the vulnerable. Whether it’s those in poverty, those that have been oppressed, those that are marginalized, those that are left abandoned or destitute by no fault of their own—God sees and he knows and he cares.

Today we pray for the vulnerable in our community—those in poverty, the widowed, children in the foster care system—these are just a few examples. May we be a church that shares the heart of God in this way.
