Day 27 | Long-Term Spiritual Health

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6–7
As a child, I remember helping my family plant a row of trees along one of our property lines. At the time, we planted a series of puny little plants that I was told would one day create a natural boundary between our home and the adjacent property. Fast-forward 25+ years and those trees have grown, established roots, and indeed have formed a 20-30’ natural privacy wall along the edge of my parents’ property line.
My prayer is that the same would happen at Heartland City—that what the Lord has planted here on the north side of Elizabethtown would establish deep roots, continue to grow in health and maturity, and, as long as the Lord tarries, will outlast all of us reading this. Would you join me in praying the same?
