Day 26 | Spiritual Gifts

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:4-8

The Lord has designed his church in such a way that there are no mere consumers—every member is a contributor. According to Scripture, every Christian has received a gift from the Holy Spirit to be employed in the life and ministry of the church—that means the church needs you!

Have you discovered how the Spirit has gifted you to serve the church? If not, make that a matter of prayer today! And while you’re at it, pray that every member of our church would discover their gifts and steward them well so that Heartland City would “build itself up” (Ephesians 4:16).
