Day 24 | Disciple-Making Relationships

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2
Our mission at Heartland City is to make disciples of Jesus in the heartland of Kentucky and to the ends of the earth. It’s not a clever turn of phrase—it’s simply the charge that Jesus gave to his followers, restated for our unique context (see Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8).
The primary mission of every church is to make disciples—and disciple-making isn’t a solo project. It requires pursuing deep and meaningful relationships with others—with people who can disciples us and whom we can also disciple. Those relationships will not happen by accident—they require intentionality and commitment.
Today we pray that the Lord would help us take the initiative to pursue disciple-making relationships. More specifically, pray that the Lord would help you form relationships where you can be discipled and relationships in which you have the opportunity to disciple others.
Prayer prompt: Pray for disciple-making relationships to form intentionally.
