Day 23 | Ministry Leaders

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

The great 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon once wrote to his students, “If you can do anything else, do it. If you can stay out of the ministry, stay out of the ministry.” In context, he was not discouraging people from leading the church—rather, he was provocatively reminding them that the call to ministry is often difficult and wearisome.

Today, we pray for our pastors, our staff, and even our future elders and ministry leaders. Let us intercede for them and ask the Lord to protect their hearts, their minds, and their families. Pray that he would strengthen them for the good work he has prepared for them at Heartland City.
