O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you. Psalm 63:1
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines earnestly as “not lightly, casually, or flippantly.” Do you earnestly seek God? Or is your pursuit of him more lackadaisical and lethargic than you care to admit? The truth is we are motivated by what matters most to us. We are driven by our deepest desires. Today we ask God to give us a deeper desire for him and that all other desires would pale in comparison.
