Day 16 | Friendships

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:46–47

There are over 50 different “one another” commands in the New Testament (i.e., love one another, serve one another, bear one another’s burdens, etc.). That means growing in spiritual maturity is more than just “me and Jesus”—growing in spiritual maturity requires us to grow in relationship with others. Spiritual growth is a group project. Today we pray that the Lord would deepen our existing relationships with other Christians. If you don’t have an existing relationship with another Christian to help encourage you in your spiritual growth, ask the Lord to put that person in your path.
